Contrary to what you may have heard, greyhounds are not hyper dogs, nor do they need the amount of exercise you may think. Remember, they are retired. Most of them want nothing more than to curl up on your couch and relax for the rest of their days.
Homes for Hounds travels all over the Pacific Northwest and California placing dogs. If you are interested in adopting a greyhound, fill out the online application or contact one of the area people listed at right.

The
Homes 4 Hounds Annual Picnic was the largest gathering since
2000. Close to 100 hounds decided to come, and brought selected
family members with them. Pictures available here. |
In order to provide our adopters with the greatest choice possible, it is necessary for us to find other accommodations which means a commercial boarding kennel. Due to the increased costs we have been forced to adjust our minimum adoption donation accordingly. As of the start of May the new minimum dontation increased to $200. We hope that the change does not deter prospective adopters but feel it is necessary in order to ensure that all of the dogs we place get the best care possible so that they start off on the right paw in their new homes.
